MEDIA — A restaurant in Chester is facing a negligence lawsuit after a customer allegedly suffered injuries in an altercation and then was run over in the parking lot by another patron.

Kenya Jackson filed a complaint April 7 in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County against Ginni's Restaurant & Bar Inc., doing business as Ginn's Restaurant & Bar alleging negligence.

Jackson alleges in her complaint that while at Ginni's Restaurant & Bar on West 2nd Street in Chester in June of 2020, a "physical/verbal" altercation" broke out between herself and another female customer. She also alleges that the other female was the "aggressor" and that she followed her out of the restaurant and ran over her with her vehicle in the parking lot.

Jackson claims she suffered injuries to her head, neck, back, fractures and required surgery including a partial amputation of her right toe. She further claims she has incurred medical expenses and impairment due to her injuries. Jackson alleges Ginni's negligence for failing to have adequate security, proper lighting in their parking lot and for failing to properly monitor and inspect the restaurant premises for dangerous conditions. She claims Ginni's also failed to intervene in the altercation or call the police.

Jackson seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Michael Cancelliere, Jr., and Andrew Rosen of Nass Cancelliere in Philadelphia.
