PITTSBURGH — A couple allege the wife suffered severe injuries after falling at an indoor trampoline park in Monroeville.

Cecila Kenney and Richard Edge filed a complaint June 9 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Sky Zone LLC and others alleging negligence.

According to the plaintiffs' complaint, Cecila Kenney was at the Sky Zone Monroeville indoor trampoline park on Levin Way on June 22, 2020. They claim that Kenney began to watch her children play a game in the trampoline dodgeball area when a Sky Zone employee instructed her to move out of the area.

The plaintiffs allege that as Kenney exited the area, she had to walk across several trampolines and areas on the ground with padded barriers and that she suddenly fell on a buckle/divot and suffered injury to her leg. They claim the defendants' negligence for allowing a hazardous condition to exist on the premises and for designing and maintaining the premises in an unsafe manner.

The plaintiffs further claim the defendants failed to warn of or cordon off the dangerous condition and did not take proper safeguards to protect business invitees. They allege the defendants were also negligent for failing to implement floor cleaning and maintenance policies and procedures.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Ian Watt of Friday & Cox LLC in Pittsburgh.
