Fox Rothschild earned Silver Status and now ranks among the top 13 law firms in the United States on the American Legal Industry Sustainability Standard (ALISS) survey, an online self-assessment that allows firms to objectively track and measure their sustainability efforts.
Facilitated by the Law Firm Sustainability Network (LFSN), the leading U.S.-based organization dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability among law firms, the survey awards rankings through a weighted point system in five categories: internal stakeholder engagement, measuring and reporting, external sustainability activities and internal sustainability activities.
Recognizing the responsibility we share as a global citizen, Fox is committed to practices and policies within the firm and for our clients that promote sustainability. Over the past two decades, firm leadership has joined with Chief Sustainability Partner Phil Hinerman to implement various initiatives. The firm is an active member of LFSN and works with other AmLaw 100 firms to reduce waste and greenhouse gases within our professional operations and encourage recycling in the workplace, paper/plastic reduction and sustainable travel best practices.
We have long endeavored to help clients with a broad array of environmental and energy initiatives, including those involving wind, solar and other green sector industries. Fox recently formed its Environmental, Social & Governance Practice Group to help clients better address issues of sustainability and human rights.
Our attorneys push for sustainability efforts across the United States, serving in leadership positions with state and local entities and as expert witnesses and consultants to other law firms and corporations. In those roles, they work to craft or otherwise influence environmentally-oriented legislation and regulations for the better.
With eyes toward ensuring a more livable world for all, we strive to recognize innovative environmental sustainability efforts and continue working with our communities and clients to promote sustainability in all phases of business.
