The Global M&A Network has awarded Troutman Pepper with two Turnaround Atlas Awards – the Private Equity ACQ Deal of the Year and the Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year. The firm was recognized at a virtual awards ceremony on July 21 during the Global M&A Restructuring & Distressed Investing Forum.
Private Equity ACQ Deal of the Year
Troutman Pepper received the Private Equity ACQ Deal of the Year award for its representation of In-Shape Health Clubs in its Chapter 11 sale to an entity formed by Aquiline Capital Partners. Troutman Pepper’s David Fournier, Evelyn Meltzer, Marcy McLaughlin Smith, and Monica Molitor advised In-Shape Health Clubs in the transaction.
Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year
The Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year award recognized Teligent’s Chapter 11 sale of its Canadian assets to Hikma Canada Ltd., its U.S. manufacturing facility to Leiters, and its marketing authorizations to Pharmaceutical Associates. Troutman Pepper’s Deborah Kovsky-Apap, Christopher Miller, and Laura Umbrecht advised Hikma in the transaction.
