Recognizing 16 individuals who served in branches of the US Armed Forces, the Philadelphia Business Journal has named partner-elect David Dziengowski a 2022 Veteran of Influence. David and his fellow recipients will be honored November 10 at City Winery Philadelphia.
David served on active duty in the US Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 2009 to 2014. In his role with the US Navy, he represented numerous sailors and marines at courts-martial and before administrative boards, and argued before the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the US Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals. David taught law at the US Naval Academy and served as a Rule of Law Field Support Officer in the Arghandab River Valley of Kandahar, Afghanistan. He continues to serve as a Commander in the US Navy Reserve and supports fellow members of the armed services both on the community council of Hope for the Warriors and through his pro bono work.
David is a member of Morgan Lewis’s Veterans Lawyer Network, which aspires to promote the leadership and development of current and former military service members within the firm and foster a sense of community. Members collaborate with clients in working and networking with veterans, address issues important to veterans and active-duty military, and join with organizations committed to providing pro bono legal services to veterans.
