Mcnees Attorney Adam Long Earns Scc Award

McNees Wallace & Nurick labor and employment attorney Adam R. Long received the Leadership Training Excellence Award from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission at a ceremony yesterday.

The annual award recognized the outstanding commitment to the professional development of Pennsylvania’s Conservation Districts that Long has demonstrated at the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts’ Leadership Development trainings. For more than 15 years, Long has presented at seminars and webinars attended by district leaders and personnel focusing on employment law for Conservation Districts. These trainings have explored hiring processes, employment policies, wage and hour requirements, employee management best practices and records retention.

At McNees, Long counsels clients that range from publicly traded companies to family-owned businesses on a wide range of labor and employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, employee leaves of absence, labor relations and non-competition agreements.

Active in his community, Long serves as a board member with the LINK Foundation and as chair of the Human Resources Committee of the United Way of the Capital Region. He is a former board member and board secretary for the American Red Cross’s Central Pennsylvania Chapter, a former president of the Paxtonia Athletic Association and a former member of the board of directors of the Center of Independent Living of Central PA.
