Mike Rinehart, Dechert LLP’s chief information officer, has been honored with an ORBIE Award by PhillyCIO, a peer network for chief information officers in the Philadelphia area. The awards were established to recognize leadership and value creation through technology innovation.
Mr. Rinehart was named “Philadelphia CIO of the Year” in the “Enterprise” category for organizations over US$1 billion in revenue.
Mr. Rinehart has been a pivotal member of the firm's executive leadership team as head of the Information Technology department since joining Dechert in 2021. He also has oversight of the firm’s Innovation function and responsibility for its Research Services department.
Under his leadership, Dechert has remained at the forefront of technology development, both in terms of client-facing products and internal resources. The firm’s Innovation Team has also found effective ways to promote shifts in mindsets and behaviors that have produced real cultural change, allowing Dechert lawyers and business professionals to improve their problem-solving capacities and drive systemic improvements to the way the firm and its people work.
