In the Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County, Mark Ajavon, individually and as the administrator and personal representative of the estate of Sarah Ajavon, deceased, has filed a lawsuit against Aventura at Prospect LLC, Aventura Health Group, CPP Senior Holdings LLC, and John/Jane Does 1 through 10. The case ID is ILD. NO 315199 and it was filed by Jessica Foster from Smith Clinesmith LLP on behalf of the plaintiff.

Mark Ajavon alleges that the defendants failed to provide adequate care to his mother, Sarah Ajavon during her stay at Aventura at Prospect. He claims that despite her serious medical conditions including hemiplegia, dysphagia, bilateral optic atrophy among others which made her completely dependent on nursing staff for daily activities including feeding, a turning and repositioning schedule was not put in place for her even though she was at high risk for pressure wound development.

The plaintiff further states that Sarah Ajavon developed a skin tear on March 20th 2022 which was documented but not adequately addressed. He believes that the defendants jointly operated and controlled all aspects of fiscal, administrative, regulatory, custodial and skilled care operations at Aventura at Prospect and their various responsibilities will be revealed in discovery.

Mark Ajavon seeks judgment against the defendants for medical malpractice leading to wrongful death of Sarah Ajavon. He is pursuing this action as a wrongful death beneficiary and administrator and personal representative of Sarah's estate under Pennsylvania law.
