PITTSBURGH - An Allegheny County electrician is suing a client after he stepped on a nail at her property.

Thomas Waldron recently filed a lawsuit against Jill Zunic in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

The complaint alleges that on July 14, 2023, Waldron was invited by Zunic to inspect and potentially repair an issue with her electrical system.

During the inspection, Waldron stepped on a nail left on Zunic's property, resulting in severe injuries including nerve and muscle damage, the suit says. Waldron claims that Zunic was negligent for not warning him about the hazardous debris or marking off dangerous areas.

He is seeking damages exceeding the county's arbitration limits for past and future pain and suffering, lost wages, and medical expenses. The case is being handled by David C. Brumfield of AlpernSchubert PC.
