PITTSBURGH - An Allegheny County lawsuit says a caregiver assisting a blind woman in a Walmart bathroom was cornered and threatened by someone with a baseball bat.

A lawsuit was recently filed by Lachar Robinson against Walmart Inc., Wal-Mart Stores East, L.P., and Wal-Mart Supercenter Store #2588, following an incident at a Walmart store in North Versailles.

Robinson alleges that she was attacked by an unidentified individual wielding a baseball bat while she was accompanying three elderly women inside the store.

The complaint claims that Walmart failed to provide adequate security measures and personnel, resulting in Robinson sustaining serious injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for negligence, gross negligence, and vicarious liability.

Laura Signorelli of Morgan & Morgan Philadelphia represents the plaintiff.
