A recent court filing has brought to light a serious personal injury case involving a dangerous condition on a property. Eddie Wilson filed the complaint in the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas on July 17, 2024, against Golden Home Maintenance, LLC.

According to the complaint, Eddie Wilson was lawfully present at 966 Johler Avenue in Scranton, PA, on July 19, 2022. While attempting to retrieve an oxygen tank stored near the basement steps of the premises, Wilson fell when the steps suddenly crumbled beneath him. The fall resulted in severe injuries including a left shoulder fracture that required surgery. Wilson alleges that Golden Home Maintenance and other unnamed defendants were aware of the defective condition of the steps but failed to take necessary actions to remedy it or warn visitors about the danger.

The lawsuit details how Golden Home Maintenance was responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of the premises. The complaint states: "Defendants created and/or knew of the subject steps were defective and knew that it posed a potential danger to people on the premises." Despite this knowledge, they allegedly did not fix or warn about the hazardous condition. This negligence is claimed to have directly led to Wilson's injuries which include physical pain, emotional suffering, diminished quality of life, and financial burdens due to medical expenses.

Wilson is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 from Golden Home Maintenance and other involved parties for their alleged negligence. The plaintiff argues that their failure to maintain safe conditions and provide adequate warnings constitutes a breach of duty that caused significant harm.

Representing Eddie Wilson is attorney Ethan R. Feldman from Morgan & Morgan PLLC. The case has been assigned Case ID AY cv SDY/ in front of Judge [Judge's Name].
