A local LGBTQ cocktail lounge and entertainment venue has taken legal action against an entertainer for alleged defamatory social media posts. P Town Bloomfield, LLC filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on September 6, 2024, against Eleni Romanello, also known as "Danny Libido."

The plaintiff, P Town Bloomfield, LLC, claims that beginning around June 26, 2024, the defendant started posting defamatory memes on Instagram under the username "Dannylibidodrag." These posts ridiculed the establishment and its management practices. The situation escalated when the defendant posted another meme on July 2, 2024, stating that the memes would continue if P Town Bloomfield did "another stupid fucking thing." On July 17, 2024, Romanello made further accusations on Instagram alleging homophobia, sexual and physical assault, transphobia, victim-blaming, misogyny, and harassment by P Town Bloomfield.

The complaint highlights that these accusations are unsubstantiated and have caused significant harm to the reputation of P Town Bloomfield. On August 28, 2024, Romanello initiated a petition on Change.org titled "Hold Ptown Accountable for Treatment of Sapphic and Trans Individuals," which had garnered 93 signatures by September 6. The plaintiff argues that these actions have led to economic harm as business has slowed considerably since this campaign began.

P Town Bloomfield is seeking several forms of relief from the court. They request that all defamatory posts be removed from social media platforms and that the petition be taken down from Change.org. Additionally, they seek a public apology from Romanello and an injunction preventing any future defamatory statements about their establishment.

Representing P Town Bloomfield is attorney Kathryn M. Wakefield of Wakefield Law Group. The case is being heard in the Civil Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County under Case ID not provided in the document.
