John Stango has filed a civil lawsuit against Greene Countrie Village and its associated entities, alleging negligence that led to severe injuries. The complaint was filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on October 28, 2024. Stango claims that the defendants failed to maintain safe conditions at his rented condominium, resulting in a fall that caused significant harm.

According to the court documents, John Stango was a resident at Greene Countrie Village when he suffered a serious accident on October 30, 2022. He asserts that while navigating the steps and walkway outside his condominium, he slipped due to a hazardous condition on the property. The complaint accuses Greene Countrie Village, Greene Countrie Village Owners’ Association, and Greene Countrie Village Inc., along with unnamed parties referred to as John Doe Inc. 1-5, of failing in their duty to ensure safe premises for residents and visitors.

Stango's attorney, Kevin P. O'Brien from Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law, argues that the defendants were responsible for maintaining the common areas of the property and failed to do so adequately. "The negligence and carelessness of the Defendants...was due in no manner whatsoever to any act or failure to act on the part of the Plaintiff," states the complaint. It details how this negligence resulted in Stango suffering severe injuries requiring surgical intervention and ongoing medical treatment.

The plaintiff seeks compensation exceeding $50,000 for damages including medical expenses, loss of earnings, physical pain, mental anguish, and diminished quality of life. The lawsuit outlines multiple counts of negligence such as failure to maintain safe walkways, improper inspection routines, lack of warning signs for dangerous conditions, and inadequate training for employees responsible for property maintenance.

This case is being handled by Judge [Name not provided] under Case ID CV2024009447. Representing John Stango is attorney Kevin P. O'Brien from Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law based in Cheltenham, PA.
