Karen Wilkinson has filed a lawsuit against Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, along with several associated entities, alleging negligence after suffering severe injuries on their premises. The complaint was lodged in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on November 8, 2024. Wilkinson claims that the defendants failed to maintain safe conditions at the casino, leading to her accident.

According to the complaint filed by Karen Wilkinson through her attorney Kristin H. Buddle from Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law, the incident occurred on November 11, 2022. Wilkinson was visiting Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack when she attempted to pass through an automatic door that malfunctioned. The doors reportedly opened partially before jamming, causing Wilkinson to collide with them and sustain significant injuries. The lawsuit names multiple defendants including Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, Chester Downs and Marina LLC, Caesars Entertainment Operating Company Inc., among others. It also includes unnamed John/Jane Doe individuals and companies responsible for maintenance and inspection services.

Wilkinson alleges that her injuries were due solely to the negligence of the defendants who failed in their duty to ensure safe premises for visitors. The lawsuit details various accusations against the defendants such as failing to repair or maintain the automatic doors properly, neglecting regular inspections, not warning patrons about potential dangers, and creating hazardous conditions. As a result of these alleged failures, Wilkinson suffered from severe physical injuries including sprains and strains across her left side as well as mental anguish and shock.

The plaintiff is seeking a judgment not exceeding $50,000 along with interest and court costs. She claims compensation for medical expenses incurred due to her injuries which she asserts are both serious and permanent in nature. Furthermore, Wilkinson states that her ability to perform daily activities has been significantly impaired due to this incident.

The case is being handled by attorney Kristin H. Buddle from Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Law located in Cheltenham, PA. No specific judge has been assigned yet according to available documents but it is registered under Case ID: NO.
