A slip and fall incident at a popular casino has led to a lawsuit, as an injured patron seeks justice for alleged negligence. On January 16, 2025, William Logan filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County against Philadelphia Propco LLC and Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack. The case stems from an accident that occurred on February 18, 2023, when Logan was visiting the casino.

According to the complaint filed by Logan's attorney, Matthew C. Stone of The Law Offices of Stone & Stone, LLC, the plaintiff was traversing the interior of Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino when he tripped over a raised lip of a metal base structure within the premises. The lawsuit alleges that this structure created a dangerous condition due to its extension into an area frequently walked by patrons and its similarity in color to the surrounding flooring, making it difficult to notice. "There was no signage or warning whatsoever as to the presence of the aforementioned dangerous condition," states the complaint.

Logan accuses both defendants of negligence for failing to maintain safe conditions on their property and not providing adequate warnings about potential hazards. The lawsuit details various acts of negligence including failure to maintain safe conditions in interior areas, creating tripping hazards without visible warnings, and neglecting to hire competent personnel for property maintenance. As per Logan's claims, these oversights directly resulted in his injuries which include serious damage to his left knee and wrist.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 along with interest, costs, delay damages, and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. He argues that due to the defendants' negligence, he has endured significant physical pain and suffering, loss of earning capacity due to missed workdays, and ongoing medical expenses related to surgeries and rehabilitation treatments.

Representing William Logan is attorney Matthew C. Stone from The Law Offices of Stone & Stone LLC located in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. The case has been filed under Case ID No. CV-2025000487 in front of the Court of Common Pleas in Delaware County.
