Motorist says negligence led to collision

PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing Edward Rentz, MRC Global Inc. and McJunkin Red Man Corporation, two Texas corporations and an employee, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Noureddine Mirat filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging failure to properly control a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 29. 2014, he sustained serious injuries when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Rentz. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the employee allegedly failed to timely apply his brakes, causing the collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Eli Gabay of Solomon, Sherman & Gabay in Philadelphia.
