PITTSBURGH — A couple's lawsuit against FMC Technologies Inc., a Texas corporation, cites alleged design defect, liability and product liability.
Louis D'Antonio and Tina D'Antonio filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against FMC Technologies Inc. alleging that the Texas corporation manufactured a defective product that cause injuries to Louis D'Antonio.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 22, 2014, Louis D'Antonio sustained physical injuries when a part fell off a product being loaded on a truck and struck him on the back while he was performing his duties. The plaintiffs holds FMC Technologies Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly designed and manufactured products and distributed them in a defective condition, making it dangerous for any individual using them.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus interest and court costs. They are represented by Daniel S. Schiffman of Schiffman Firm, LLC in Pittsburgh.
