PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing Allstate Insurance Company, citing alleged breach of contract.
Nolan L. Lapp filed a complaint on July 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Allstate Insurance Company, alleging that the insurer refused to compensate the plaintiff under the terms of a policy.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 20, 2015, he was involved in a vehicular crash and sustained severe injuries. The plaintiff holds Allstate Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to tender $100,000 for underinsured motorist coverage despite the plaintiff demanding the policy limits several times.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for an amount in excess of the arbitration limits for this court plus court cost. He is represented by Jesse L. Pleet of Leisawitz Heller Abramowitch Phillips, P.C. in Wyomissing.
