Woman accused of not repaying debt

PITTSBURGH — The federal government is suing Faith D. Slampak, alleging unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint on July 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Slampak, alleging that she failed to settle her debt with plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of an unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Slampak responsible because she allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff for the principal amount plus interest of the debt despite the plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks principal balance of $62,560.22 plus interest of $37,029.69, making the total $99,589.91, attorney's fees at 30 percent of $99,589.91, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Robert S. Bernstein of Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
