Convergent Outsourcing Inc. accused of calling consumer after he revoked consent

PITTSBURGH – A Latrobe man alleges a debt collector continued to call him after he revoked his consent.

Anthony Sinwich filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Convergent Outsourcing Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls on his residential telephone from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Convergent Outsourcing Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling plaintiff despite him revoking his consent and advising the defendant to contact his attorney.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Jeffrey S. Hyslip of Hyslip & Taylor LLC, LPA in Chicago.
