Former employee claims restaurant violated overtime-pay law

PHILADELPHIA — A former dishwasher is suing restaurant operator Calm-2 Inc. d/b/a Trattoria San Nicola, alleging violation of wage laws.

Everett Goodwin filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that  he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly violating the law requiring overtime pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary damages, declaratory and injunctive relief, and court costs.
