PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing Source Healthcare Analytics LLC and Connie Shaffer, alleging retaliation and violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Laurel Edelman filed a complaint on Dec. 2, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they terminated her employment as retaliation for exercising her rights to FMLA.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from being terminated from her employment. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly terminated her employment despite the fact that she should have been protected by FMLA.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all unpaid wages, reimbursements, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by George B. Randolph and David L. Black of Riley Riper Hollin & Colagreco in Exton.
