HARRISBURG — The federal government is suing Dorothea and Vincent Rakus, alleging breach of contract in connection with a mortgage.

The United States of America filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay on the mortgage of a property.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages due to the unpaid mortgage. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay under a mortgage agreement.

The plaintiff seeks a declaration that the defendants be forever barred and foreclosed of all rights, claims, lien and equity of redemption in the mortgaged premises; that the property may be decreed to be sold; payment of the due amount plus interest; plus any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Thomas I. Puleo of KML Law Group, P.C. in Philadelphia.
