PITTSBURGH — A married couple's lawsuit against Heritage Valley Medical Group Inc., t/d/b/a West Allegheny Health Care Services, alleging negligence in medical care.
Nicole Davies and Larry Davies filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendant, alleging that Nicole Davies was injured when a phlebotomist was trying to take a blood sample.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Nicole Davies sustained injuries to her left arm that led to permanent neuralgia and ulnar nerve injury. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible because of an alleged failure to do a proper blood draw from Nicole Davies' left arm.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. They are represented by Scott D. Glassmith of Gismondi & Associates, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
