Woman sues federal government over alleged fall at post office

Slip02

PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing the United States of America, alleging negligence in connection with a fall.

Talia Olmo filed a complaint on Jan. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the United States of America, alleging that the defendant is responsible for a failure to remove snow on its premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 3, 2015, she suffered physical injuries when she slipped and fell while walking up the steps of a post office. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for the alleged hazardous condition and failure to warn about it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limit of the court plus any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Anthony M. Digiulio of Barish Rosenthal in Philadelphia.
