PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing Hei Hotels LLC, a Connecticut business, alleging negligence in connection with injuries.
Noemi Orozco filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Hei Hotels LLC, alleging that the defendant failed to make sure that a closet door in its facility was free of any defects.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 16, she suffered physical injuries from falling backward when a closet door broke off its hinges at the Double Tree Suites Philadelphia West. The plaintiff holds Hei Hotels LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to check the hinges of its closet door.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Simon & Simon, P.C. in Philadelphia.
