Ram-T Corporation accused of wage violation

PHILADELPHIA — Employees have filed a class action lawsuit against Ram-T Corporation and Deborah Turner c/o Ram-T corproation, employer, alleging breach of contract, unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law and violation of Worker' Compensation acts.

Cameron Wilson and Tomayo Shepherd filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to adequately compensate their employees for their work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were not properly compensated for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The plaintiffs holds Ram-T Corporation and Deborah Turner c/o Ram-T corporation responsible because the defendants allegedly violated the law regarding overtime pay.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek to prohibit the defendant from continuing its illegal policy, compensation, reimbursement, liquidated damages, actual damages, liquidated damages equal to 25 percent of the actual damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Richard S. Swartz, Matthew D. Miller, Justin L. Swidler and Joshua S. Boyette of Swartz Swidler, LLC in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
