Woman allegedly disfigured in dog attack sues defendants for negligence

Courtgavel087

PHILADELPHIA – A woman claims a pair of defendants are responsible for a vicious dog attack at a residence where she arrived to work in Northeast Philadelphia that she says has left her facially disfigured.

Viktoriya Yadlovsky of Philadelphia filed suit on Jan. 18 in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, versus Kelly J. Fox, Esq. (Administratrix of the Estate of Lidiya Madrevica) of Philadelphia and Vitalijs Kovotkins of Southampton.

“Plaintiff entered the Sandy Road residence on Jan. 19, 2015, to provide medical services to Lidiya Madrevica, now deceased, and observed a dog on the premises. The dog lunged at the plaintiff and viciously attacked her. The vicious attack included the defendants’ dog biting plaintiff about the face, causing multiple puncture wounds to and around the eye, as well as lacerating plaintiff’s face,” the lawsuit says.

Yadlovsky says the defendants failed to properly restrain the dog, protect her and use due care under the circumstances, as she suffered facial disfigurement, puncture wounds, lacerations, bruising, swelling, psychological unrest, post-traumatic anxiety and shock.

The plaintiff is seeking damages, jointly and severally, not in excess of $50,000.

The plaintiff is represented by Lawrence Kalikhman of Kalikhman & Rayz, in Huntingdon Valley.
