PITTSBURGH — An Allegheny County man is suing a marketing company, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Mark B. Aronson filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Healthcare National Marketing Inc., alleging that the New Port Richey, Florida, marketing company called the plaintiff to offer dental insurance without his permission.

According to the complaint, Aronson stated that on Nov. 14, he suffered damages from receiving unsolicited phone calls on his residential telephone. The suit claims the defendant violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by delivering a pre-recorded message without providing the information needed to place the number on the TCPA's Do Not Call list or providing a return telephone number.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $6,000.
