Three state corporations accused of not paying minimum, overtime wages to employees

PHILADELPHIA – The acting secretary of labor alleges a Lansdale corporation, a Philadelphia corporation and a Bensalem corporation did not properly compensate their employees.

Edward C. Hugler, acting secretary of labor for the United States Department of Labor filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Fox Bindery Inc., also known as Fox Group; Henry J. Fox, as president and/ or owner of Fox Bindery Inc.; Sun Flower Services Inc.; and Riverside Quality Services Inc. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants have violated provisions of the FLSA since March 2013. The plaintiffs holds Fox Bindery Inc., also known as Fox Group; Henry J. Fox, as president and/ or owner of Fox Bindery Inc.; Sun Flower Services Inc.; and Riverside Quality Services Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly paid their employees below the required minimum wage and failed to pay overtime compensation when required.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid minimum wages, overtime compensation, liquidated damages and additional back wages for employees, and court costs. He is represented by Oscar L. Hampton III, Katherine E. Bissell and Jordana L. Greenwald of U.S. Department of Labor in Philadelphia.
