Corecare Behavioral Healthcare, Kirkbride Center accused of FMLA violation

Wrongful term 13

PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing Corecare Behavioral Healthcare PC and Kirkbride Center, citing alleged violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act and wrongful termination.

Sherell Hall filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they interfered with plaintiff's rights to FMLA.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, she was terminated from her employment for taking FMLA leave. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly wrongfully terminated her despite her being entitled to the leave she took.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for back pay, front pay, compensatory damages, injunctive relief, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Marc A. Weinberg in Jenkintown.
