Ellwood City man alleges wrongful termination, defamation from JD Palatine, CEO

Wrongful term 09

PITTSBURGH — An Ellwood City resident is suing JD Palatine LLC and its CEO Chad Killian, citing alleged breach of contract, defamation and wrongful termination.

Joseph Desanzo filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants alleging that they terminated the plaintiff without cause, denied his severance payments and contacted his other employer, Gartner Inc., in order to cause him to be fired.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained damages from being terminated from employment. The plaintiff holds JD Palatine and Chad Killian responsible because they allegedly contacted Gartner in order to sabotage the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, monetary damages and decree that any non-competition agreement is void. He is represented by Elizabeth Pollock-Avery of Kraemar, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
