Scott A. Ridge and Karen L. Ridge filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The lawsuit alleges that the Pennsylvania corporation filed a foreclosure action against the plaintiff in violation of provisions of the act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the Ridges sustained damages in January 2017 from having a foreclosure action filed against them. The plaintiffs hold McCabe, Weisberg & Conway responsible because the defendant allegedly received a dispute letter from the plaintiff but still filed a legal action against the plaintiff.
The plaintiffs seek damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by John K. Fiorillo and Kristen Wetzel Ladd of Unruh, Turner, Burke & Frees P.C. in West Chester.
