SCRANTON, Pa. - Representatives of an estate are suing E-Trade Consumer Finance, E-Trade Financial Corp., E-Trade Securities LLC and Harborside Financial Center, citing alleged breach of contract.

The estate of Sharon Groth, by and through Susan Shaner, Terry Shaner Jr., Stephanie Shaner, Kelly Free and Karen Davenport, filed a complaint March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging they failed to account for all assets left by Sharon Groth, who died in November 2012.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they sustained damages from being denied the funds left by Sharon Groth. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed and refused to identify all accounts and assets left by Sharon Groth and turn over all assets to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,00 plus interest and court costs. They are represented by Stephen T. Carpenito of the Law Office of Stephen T. Carpenito in Pottsville.
