PHILADELPHIA — A Nevada corporation is suing 13 unnamed individuals, citing alleged copyright infringement for sharing a file of a motion picture.

ME2 Productions Inc. filed a complaint on March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they made unauthorized copies of plaintiff's motion picture.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the company sustained damages from having its copyrighted motion picture, Mechanic: Resurrection, shared without its authority. The plaintiff holds the 13 individuals responsible because the defendants allegedly download plaintiff's motion picture using a BitTorrent file-sharing program. The Comcast subscribers were identified only by their IP addresses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, as well as statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Charles Thomas and Lee M. Herman of Creative Rights Law Group PLLC in Media.
