PHILADELPHIA — A home care giver is suing KH Senior Care LLC d/b/a Senior Helpers, Sandc Inc., Kevin Herman and Colleen F. Slusarczyk, citing alleged unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Karen Andrews, of Honey Brook, filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper compensation to the plaintiff for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked as a care giver out of the Senior Helpers office in Exton and was not paid any overtime wages for doing work over 40 hours in a given week. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiff by failing to compensate her adequately.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages for unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Louis Rosner in Philadelphia.
