PHILADELPHIA — A security and technology services firm is suing former employee Richard Leighton, DTS Security Inc. and Secure Vizual LLC, citing breach of contract for allegedly taking and using trade secrets.

Unlimited Technology Inc., of Chester Springs, filed a complaint on April 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that Leighton, of Atlanta, misappropriated confidential trade secrets from the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was damaged from having its confidential information stolen. The plaintiff holds Leighton and the defendant companies responsible because they allegedly used plaintiff's confidential information to solicit customers and employees in violation of the employment contract.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, exemplary damages, damages or disgorgement, the return of all misappropriated trade secrets, injunctive relief, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Casey Green of Sidkoff, Pincus & Green P.C. in Philadelphia.
