PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia youth sports organization is suing Athletica Inc. d/b/a Team Cheer; Elite Sportswear LP d/b/a GK Elite; and Victory Team Apparel LLC, citing alleged violation of federal law.

Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc., commonly known as Pop Warner, filed a complaint on May 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they used and transferred plaintiff's confidential information without permission.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages to its business from having its trade secrets used without permission. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because Pop Warner membership information was transferred to a direct competitor after a contract with Team Cheer ended.

The plaintiff seeks injunction against the defendants, actual damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Jonathan Dryer of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP in Philadelphia.
