Law money 05

PHILADELPHIA — An employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Dollar General Corporation and Dolgencorp LLC, alleging unpaid wages and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Christopher Weller of Ashland filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on May 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging that the retailer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from not being paid overtime wages for working more than 40 hours per week. The plaintiff holds Dollar General and Dolgencorp responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay adequate overtime wages to the plaintiff and systematically underrecorded employees' time worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, all unpaid overtime wages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Noah Axler and Marc Goldich of Axler Goldich LLC in Philadelphia.
