ERIE — A Los Angeles-based film production company is suing 12 unknown individuals, alleging copyright infringement for sharing a movie.

LHF Productions Inc. filed a complaint on April 21 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they made unauthorized copies of plaintiff's motion picture London Has Fallen.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was damaged from having its motion picture copied. The plaintiff holds the 12 defendants responsible because they allegedly used BitTorrent software to make illegal copies of plaintiff's motion picture. The defendants were identified only by their IP addresses related to Comcast internet service.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunction against the defendant, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Charles Thomas and Lee M. Herman of Creative Rights Law Group PLLC in Media.
