Secane woman says Lincoln National wrongly denied disability insurance claim

Insurance 10

PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, alleging breach of contract.

Barbara Romano of Secane filed a complaint on June 8 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging that the insurance company refused to pay a claim for benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled and applied for disability benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds the insurer responsible because the defendant allegedly denied the plaintiff's disability benefits based on their erroneous claim that she is no longer disabled.

The plaintiff seeks payment of all benefits plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Graham Baird of The Law Offices of Eric A. Shore in Philadelphia.
