PHILADELPHIA — A Coatesville woman is suing Rite Aid Corp., a Pennsylvania business, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.
Dionna Harrell filed a complaint on June 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Rite Aid, alleging that the Pennsylvania business made several calls to the plaintiff's cellphone.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she endured annoyances and nuisances after receiving several unwanted calls on her cellphone. The plaintiff holds Rite Aid responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automated telephone-dialing system to call the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, injunctive relief, interest, monetary relief and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Octavio Gomez of Morgan & Morgan, Tampa, P.A. in Tampa, Fla.
