PHILADELPHIA – A Mississippi woman alleges a Philadelphia resident owes her more than $100,000.

Lori Gambrell filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Michele Needham alleging promissory estoppel, unjust enrichment and other counts.

According to the complaint, the parties were involved in a romantic relationship and were also business partners through 2015. The suit states that when the parties decided to end their relationship and business ventures, the 6th Street, Philadelphia residence were the plaintiff resided was sold and that none of the proceeds were given to her. She also alleges she was not paid for managing another property.

The plaintiff holds Michele Needham responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay funds for her investment in the 6th street property.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $103,630.27, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Tiffany L. Palmer of Jerner & Palmer P.C. in Philadelphia.
