Woman alleges dating service Kelleher International LLC did not use due diligence to find matches

PHILADELPHIA – A Devon woman alleges a dating service she paid thousands to did not find her a suitable match.

Darlene Daggett filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Kelleher International LLC alleging breach of contract, unfair competition and violation of California civil code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff paid $150,000 to the defendant for its matchmaking and dating services. She alleges the defendant represented that it selected potential matches for her through using its resources and that it represented it interviews and screens potential applicants.

The plaintiff holds Kelleher International LLC responsible because the backgrounds, personalities and behaviors of matches it selected allegedly did not match her interests. She alleges that because of this, the defendant does not conduct due diligence with finding matches.

The plaintiff seeks restitution and monetary damages, treble damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by M. Kelly Tillery of Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia.
