PHILADELPHIA – A California man has filed a lawsuit against a Media market and survey research firm over allegations it called people without their consent.

Lucas Alex Ambrezewicz filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Aug. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against AUS Marketing Research Systems Inc., doing business as SSRS, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant called him on June 19 using an automatic telephone dialing system and he told it to stop contacting him. He alleges he has never provided his number to the defendant and has no business relationship with it.

The plaintiff holds AUS Marketing Research Systems Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly called the plaintiff without his consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, order the defendant to cease all unsolicited telephone activities, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Kay E. Sickles of Bala Cynwyd and Blake J. Dugger of Law Offices of Stefan Coleman, P.A. in Phoenix.
