PHILADELPHIA – A West Chester corporation that sells aftermarket parts for Jeep vehicles alleges that a California company is unlawfully using its photos.
Quadratec Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against The Auto Shops LLC, also known as Allthingsjeep.com, alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff has copyrighted thousands of photographs and textual materials created by employees to promote its products.
The plaintiff holds The Auto Shops LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly copied and reproduced plaintiff's photographs and used them on its website without permission.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, all remedies available, court costs, punitive damages and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Eric S. Marzluf of Caesar Rivise PC in Philadelphia.
