CentiMark Corp. alleges a former employee breached contract

Contract 02

ERIE – A Canonsburg business engaged in the competitive roofing industry alleges a Landenberg man and former employee is using its confidential information for a competitor.

CentiMark Corp. filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Christopher Bauer and DDP Roofing Services Inc. alleging breach of contract and tortious interference with contractual relations.

According to the complaint, Bauer left his employment with the plaintiff to work for competitor DDP Roofing Services Inc. The plaintiff is seeking to "stop Bauer and DDP from using CentiMark's customer relationships developed through Bauer for CentiMark for DDP's benefits, their violating or interfering with Bauer's post-employment obligations to CentiMark by having Bauer work in an overlapping sales territory that CentiMark paid Bauer to develop tens of millions of dollars in sales, customer relationships and confidential information over the past 10 years for CentiMark," the suit states.

The plaintiff seeks enjoin the defendants, compensatory damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by James S. Tuite and Tiffany A. Jenca of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC in Pittsburgh.
