PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia company alleges that a Canadian business has been enriched at its expense.

Elev3n LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Vanbex Group Inc. alleging violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, conversion, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendants use blockchain technology to develop computer applications. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant unlawfully has been marketing the plaintiff's intellectual property and other proprietary information and has been unjustly enriched at the plaintiff's expense. The plaintiff also alleges that the defendant's actions have exposed it to the risk that it will become noncomplaint with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in amounts permitted by the law, accounting of the imposition of constructive trust with respect to the defendant's profits, injunction against the defendant, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Julia B. Klein of Klein LLC in Wilmington, Delaware.
