PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing his former employer, Reeb Millwork Corporation, for alleged discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Willie Beard III filed a complaint on April 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was fired because he took a medical leave of absence for his alleged heart condition. As a result, he claims that he has suffered financial damages and emotional distress.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory, punitive and liquidated damages; litigation costs and expenses; and any other legal and equitable relief. He is represented by Ari. R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti PC in Bensalem.
