PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing Nicole Peters, another motorist, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Gwendolyn Jones filed a complaint on April 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant breach her duty to keep her vehicle under control.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant's vehicle struck her vehicle from behind. As a result, the plaintiff claims that she has suffered severe and permanent physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly driving at an excessive speed, failing to keep proper lookout and failing to exercise due care.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,000, plus costs and any other just and proper relief. She is represented by Adam S. Barrist of the Barrist Firm LLC in Bala-Cynwyd.
